Southern Beaches

Hi All,

It was good to see some off you at the Rugby on the weekend. The boys put up a spirited performance on the day against Beaches.

We are back at home again this weekend against University. I hope to see you all there.

Just a quick note we had 5 Junior players selected to play for Newcastle the weekend just gone. They were up in Armidale with the 14s and 12s running 3rd in the Country championship.

Justis Gerrad (Pinga Patterson’s grandson) was selected in the NSW Cockatoos team. I believe this is our 1st Junior player selected in a long time into the Country team.

Hope to see you all there this weekend

Waratahs Update

Hi All,

Good to see some of you brave the rain on the weekend and come down and watch what turned out to be a disappointing game from the club.

With the amount of people that turned up it was still a successful fundraiser for MND on the day.

The players and the club will move on from this performance and be up for this weekend’s game at home against Southern Beach’s. This game was to be a beach’s home game but they have asked us to change the game around.

Remember Rome was not built in a day and this team will take time to find their way.

Knowing what each player can do I am confident they will get there.

So I hope to see you all down there again on Saturday to support the boys in the best way we can.

Mitch

Home game against Waratahs

Hi All,

The local rugby is back at home this weekend.

We are up against Waratah this week end. It should be a very entertaining  game. A few new faces will be back this week. So come along and cheer the boys on.

If you are looking for something to do early in the morning come along and watch a couple of junior games at home. There are some very talented kids in our ranks

This weekend is our charity round. We will be promoting Motor Neurone Disease. As you are all aware this is close to me and our club.

We are encouraging everyone to wear as much blue as possible.

We will be asking for a gold coin donation. All donations will be going to MND.

Neil will be there on the day so come along and see our mate.

We will be doing a raffle and a couple of other things on the day. So set this day aside for the clubs 2nd home game of the year.

We will have a few old playing jerseys for sale at the ground on the day.

You can also order your 2015 hoodie or track suit

I will see you all this weekend up at home.

Mitch

Nelson Bay this Weekend

The local rugby is finally back on after 3 weeks in hibernation.

We are up at Nelson Bay this week end. It should be a ripper of a game. A few new faces will be out there in all grades this weekend. So come along and cheer the boys on.

The following weekend 16th May is our charity round. We will be promoting Motor Neurone Disease. As you are all aware this is close to me and our club.

Neil will be there on the day so come along and see our mate.

We will be doing a raffle and a couple of other things on the day. So set this day aside for the clubs 2nd home game of the year.

I will see you all this weekend up at the Bay

International Lake Macquarie 7s

The International Lake Macquarie 7s is fast approaching.

Put the 21st February 2015 in your diary as this will be one of the best 7s tournaments held in this area for years.

Season Launch

We would like to invite your all to attend the season launch for the Mighty Lake Mac Roos.

You have the choice of an early mark on Friday 13th March to enjoy a few lazy holes of golf at Waratah Golf Club, whilst maintaining consistent and safe hydration levels.

Our group of sporting geriatrics Heroes and Villains will be assisting the Roos launch their season and also attending their sports dinner later that evening at Club Macquarie.

Those attending and quite possibly giving up a few secrets and confirming rumours about some of past team mates will be the gorgeous Nikki Hudson who played over 300 games for the Aussie women's hockey team winning countless world champs, commonwealth games & Olympics.

The best looking and most talented of the Ella brothers, Glen Ella  { by the way Glen writes his own promos } and myself Brett Kenny, I played a few games with Parramatta rugby league.

I suspect the Croatian Bomb Thrower, Max Krilich will turn up to rob everyone on the course as well.

Hope to see you all there!
